Ryan Reynolds Reveals K-Pop Obsession During Deadpool & Wolverine Tour with Hugh Jackman
During the press tour for Deadpool & Wolverine in Seoul, Ryan Reynolds showcased his love for K-pop groups Blackpink and Stray Kids while answering fan questions.
The press conference in Seoul marked the start of the promotional tour for Deadpool & Wolverine, highlighting the strong friendship between Reynolds and Jackman.
Reynolds’ appreciation for Stray Kids dates back to 2021, when he praised their Deadpool-inspired performance on the show Kingdom: Legendary War.
Reynolds expressed his admiration for Blackpink, exclaiming, “Love Blackpink,” and also mentioned being a big fan of Stray Kids.
Reynolds humorously called Bang Chan his “new favorite Australian,” playfully teasing his friend Hugh Jackman. In 2021, Both participated in an interview to promote his film Free Guy.
Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and director Shawn Levy were gifted traditional Korean hanboks, designed by the same person who created Black pink’s Coachella outfits.
He also acknowledged the performance on social media, tweeting, “Oh hello @stray_kids,” which garnered significant attention.
In that performance, Stray Kids member Felix dressed as Deadpool, mimicking the iconic opening scene of the film.
Reynolds and Jackman reflected on their 17-year friendship, attributing their bond to genuinely rooting for each other’s success, similar to Reynolds' supportive relationship with his wife, Blake Lively.
