Kurnool Doctors Perform Open heart Surgery to a 7 month old Baby

Doctors at KIMS in Kurnool have successfully conducted open-heart surgery on a 7 month old baby, the youngest to undergo such a procedure in the district. The child was diagnosed with Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV), a rare and complex heart defect. Dr.Mohammed Farooq, a paediatric cardiologist, led the surgery.

The first of its kind in the district for such a young patient, was led by Dr. Mohammed Farooq, a consultant paediatric cardiologist. The baby, from a farming family in Pattthi konda, showed significant improvement post-surgery, becoming more active and gaining weight. The successful operation highlights the advanced medical capabilities of the hospital and the expertise of its medical staff.
