Will solar eclipse visible in India on April 8th 2024
The upcoming Total Solar Eclipse of 2024 is set to occur on April 8. Unfortunately, regions such as India will miss out on this celestial spectacle. However, there’s still a way to experience it online.
For those unable to witness the event in person, NASA will be live streaming the Total Solar Eclipse starting at 1 pm EDT (10:30 pm IST). This stream will be available on NASA TV, the agency’s website, and NASA+. Spectators can expect telescope views of the Sun and appearances by scientists and astronauts aboard the space station. The feed will include multiple locations and will be adjusted based on weather conditions.
Another option is to tune in to the YouTube channel of Space.com, Video From Space, where live coverage will commence at 1 pm EDT.
During a Total Solar Eclipse, the Moon aligns itself between the Sun and Earth, entirely blocking the Sun’s illumination. Those fortunate enough to be situated within the Moon’s shadow will witness the awe-inspiring event. This allows for a rare glimpse of the Sun’s corona, its outer atmosphere, typically concealed by the Sun’s brightness.
The path of totality for the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse stretches from Mexico’s Pacific coast to eastern Canada, traversing North America. Regrettably, this will be the final Total Solar Eclipse visible from the contiguous United States until 2044. The eclipse will commence over the South Pacific Ocean before making its way across the designated regions.
